Peach aphids are among the most troublesome pests for peach growers nationwide. They emerge early, becoming active and damaging trees when peach blossoms first show a hint of pink. Their impact is severe: without prompt control, they cause young leaves to curl, and may even lead to defoliation and fruit drop. Their reproduction is rapid, occurring both sexually and parthenogenetically. Under favourable conditions, mass parthenogenesis occurs, causing populations to surge dramatically. Therefore, early intervention is essential when aphids appear in peach orchards.

On 15 April 2020, we visited Mr Zhang's peach orchard in Neihuang County, Henan Province. Mr Zhang primarily cultivates greenhouse nectarines, maintaining his facilities to an exceptionally high standard. However, aphids were observed on the tender shoots of his peach trees.
With decades of peach cultivation experience, Mr Zhang is highly respected within a 10-kilometre radius. He expressed considerable frustration with the aphid infestation, stating he would use any effective pesticide. His high standards for pesticide quality coincided with our demonstration of Sai Champion, a product manufactured by Yancheng Limin Agrochemical Co., Ltd.
Sai Champion, launched by Yancheng Limin Agrochemical Co., Ltd. in 2018, is a modern insecticide featuring dual systemic translocation properties. This product moves throughout the entire plant, rapidly reaching leaves and phloem tissues to provide comprehensive crop protection. It effectively controls various piercing-sucking pests such as aphids, pear psyllids, scale insects, and whiteflies.

Before application
Our recommended treatment regimen: 100g Champion + 100g Huanglong Longxiao (50% pymetrozine WDG) diluted in 300kg water.

Spraying in progress
On 16 May 2020, we revisited Mr Zhang's peach greenhouse. A month had passed since our last visit. Walking through the greenhouse revealed virtually no aphids, and the nectarine surfaces appeared clean. After applying paclobutrazol and fungicide, no further insecticides were required. This demonstrates Sai Champion's outstanding efficacy in eliminating peach aphids and maintaining long-lasting control. Mr Zhang remarked: ‘Sai Champion proves highly effective against aphids. We've seen virtually none in the past month. We'll use our Sai Champion next year.’
Ensure Sai Champion is fully absorbed by foliage. For areas with severe peach aphid infestations, apply early, apply repeatedly, and apply generously.

Many growers delay pest control until aphid populations surge to cut costs, which increases treatment difficulty, raises chemical expenditure, and impairs tree growth.
When controlling peach aphids, ensure thorough, even spraying with no missed areas—particularly during the early fruit stage. Maintain a spray volume of 250–300 jin per mu of peach trees.
