Physical and Chemical Properties: The pure product is a light brown crystalline solid. Solubility: Slightly soluble in hexane and n-octanol, soluble in methanol, toluene, and acetone, and freely soluble in ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, and dichloromethane.
Applications: Azoxystrobin is a new, highly effective, broad-spectrum, systemic fungicide. It can be used for foliar spraying, seed treatment, and soil treatment. It exhibits excellent activity against nearly all fungal diseases (Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Oomycetes, and Deuteromycetes), such as powdery mildew, rust, glumen blight, web blotch, downy mildew, and rice blast, and exhibits no cross-resistance with currently available fungicides. It is safe for use on cereals, rice, grapes, potatoes, vegetables, fruit trees, and other crops.
